Viva Elmo!!

I have been so busy since Chinese New Year! My work is overloaded and the following flower arrangement exam made me so stressed. Also, Jack seems to hurt his butt when he rode the bike this Jan. He cant barely move his waist for 1 month because it hurts so much. His body needs to keep vertical all the time and I will laugh at him for "Zombie Jack". I can feel he is not impressed with that nickname. Anyway, our motorbike trip or everything related with motorbike is banned until he gets well. Without bikes, our life became bored and only Elmo socks could cheer me up a little bit:<
My latest work for Ikebana! I could feel I am improving little by little. I gradually feel the vitality of flowers and leaves themselves.

Flower Arrangement

"Western Style" Flower Arrangement-2nd week work

Japanese "Ikebana"-2nd week work

Japanese "Ikebana"-1st week work
I started my "flower arrangement" class 2 weeks ago. Thanks for my mother-in-law's instruction. She has been in this area for over 20 years and won many prizes. I am very glad to be her student:>

My mother-in-law is specialized in Japanese "Ikebana". More than simply putting flowers in a container, ikebana is a disciplined art form in which nature and humanity are combined together. It is also the employment of minimalism. I would say it is far more difficult than Western-style flower arrangement. It requires certain fundamental techniques before proceeding some creation. I am kind of in love with Ikebana and hope to achieve some level soon!!
